It looks to me like the rookie draft is much more valuable than the free agent draft. With the current financial mess in MLB, teams are going with rookies at the minimum more and more. So the rookie list is populated with alot of prospects that are 2-3 years away...and now is the time to stock up.
The free agent pool has a handful of useful players...but very few with long term potential.
