I'm still not completely sure about pitcher's
clutch ratings. I understand that a 5 grade pitcher
with a clutch of 9 will do much better with runners
on base than a 5 grade with a clutch of 1. However,
when you are talking about two pitchers who do not
have the same regular grade I don't know where they
stand. For example, who is better....a 6 grade
starter with a clutch of 1 or a 5 grade with a
clutch of 9? What if you widen it some more and
make it a 6 with clutch 1 and a 4 with clutch of
9? I guess what I'm trying to find out is should
the clutch ratings stay within the same grade or
can they overlap.
