HOW'S THIS?

Posted By Patrick

A quick and easy answer is that I believe that CURRENTLY there is much more talent and potential talent in the Rookie Draft as opposed to FA. As such, with the list you posted, I would take the Player from the Rookie List in almost every instance. However, I quickly did a survey of one of the trad leagues I'm in and this is what I think will happen. Looking at current team rosters, there will have to be about 80 players cut loose to make room for about 60 Rookie Keepers (first 3 rounds). Having a total of about 180 Rookies to draft from, that puts 120 leftover Rookies plus the 80 current cut players into the FA pool. So there will be an addition of about 200 players INTO the CURRENT FA list of players. Still, that's not going to help that much. With currently only about 40+ FA Keepers plus another 40 "Good" players out of the 200 just mentioned, it looks like the FA Rounds 4-8 will be comprised of long shots, could be, maybe, bench-role and part-time players. Sound reasonable to the rest of you?
