Yankees made a great trade provided the egos of Jeter & Rodriguez don't get in the way. These two could become Kobe & Shaq, I hope not. Likely any feud will be handled by Torre who like Phil Jackson seems to know how to handle players. Ruth & Gehrig weren't friends either but then they didn't play the same position. If Jeter was truly a team player he would move to 3rd, letting the superior SS play his natural position. The fact that he didn't offer shows his arrogance. Every measure of fielding stat shows Rodriguez to be the better SS.
Thanks to the luckiest break since Wally Pipp got a headache the Yankees acquired ARod. They could be even stronger when Aaron Boone returns. He should be rewarded with a move to 2nd as has been talked about in the the past.
