Who will be the next surprising MLB contender/winner?

Is it so out of the ordinary that NY has the highest salary structure?

Do not they command the most TV money.

Why are we so enamored with the socialist NFL?
Didn't NY always outspend the Athletics and the Senators?
Didn't the Cardinals always compete by sewing up and profiting from the then "western" part of the USA?

The real story in baseball is not how much the Yankees spend but how good a job is being turned in by some of the youngest but most savvy GMs.

Check out Oakland, Florida, Toronto and even Detroit this coming season.
Do not be surprised when the Dodgers start winning under their new 31 year old IVY league GM....with a samller salary structure and 30% of the so called ML scouts he inherits.
