I See
but I wasn't under the impression it works that way. I thought the PB value we're seeing now was a raw, non-park-adjusted number, so that the difference in park factors from year to year don't matter. I thought what mattered was the park factor itself for 2003.
Hard to believe that the PB value takes the players stats for 2003 and park-adjusts them up or down (what about players who are traded mid-year?), publishes that number and then needs to readjust the park factor for the year-to-year change in park factors. I don't buy that.
