In response to Macon Noise, Best I can figure...if the game was set up not to be a Crock most managers would quit. I'm not the smartest guy in the world but after seeing half my games won or lost by 1-2 runs..no matter if the team is good or bad(if bad 1 run favored me more then not)...or how good my closer was or pinch hitters..in the end best I can figure is the game is set up for close games to add excitment thus people keep comming back. APBA style was pure numbers crunching(36 numbers pretty simple)...you could pretty much figure who was who...now with the pitchers grade jumping up and down there is a degree of luck added. That luck benefits poor managers more then good ones(a window of chance added) part of me would rather have the old "pure numbers crunching" they are what they are(pure stratigy) but another part of me likes the window of freak chance-alot of come backs....in the end putting myself in PB shoes....old system we had alot of guy win year after year thus those who didn't would lose interest. I think PB set the game to help quiters like you have a chance and stay around Macon Noise cause you don't have to be good now you just have to be lucky. So just have some fun with the game realizing its not totally number based if they wanted that they would have stayed with the old system....PB is number crunching based with a degree of luck now added again the degree of luck helps quiters or poor managers win thus stay around oya and alot of excitment=$$$$$$
