I think, yes pitchers do get injured more and are not as consistant as hitters in some cases, but that just makes the the point stronger that the great ones are few and far.
Bottom line is that pitching is a premium
great pitchers are hard to come by.
I will take the top pitcher over the top hitter anyday with age as slight factor also.
