I agree. While one can argue that some trades are better than others, and that on balance the trades have been fair, I don't think the purpose of the MLess trades is being fulfilled. I thought that the original guidelines required that the trade significantly improve the MLess team thereby making it more attractive to potential new owners. The trading of older vets, retired or injured players, and one year wonders who may fill a need on an existing team in exchange for promising younger players and picks sounded fine to me. In practice this is not what has taken place. I have made some minor trades with MLess teams myself, I don't think it is in the best interest of the league to strip the MLess teams of their best players. I would not be in favor of abandoning trades with MLess teams (it can serve a useful purpose) but I would like to see tighter controls on what types of trades are allowed. Perhaps something like no player under age 30 or no player with a PB value over 5 may be traded by a MLess team. The guidelines should be easy to follow and benefit the MLess teams. It doesn't have to be the guidelines suggested above but something along those lines that we can all agree upon.
