ONE LAST POINT ON REJECT

Posted By JOEY

I promise this is my last point on the reject and will not say anything more until I hear the responses. Mike said in his rejection that PB values mean something. I'll give a point as to why they mean little. Does anyone believe Rocco Bodelli is the best rookie in this year's draft, not by a longshot yet he has the highest PB value. I stated in an earlier post that PB values are useful. They are in some small respects however age and potential are not figured into them which is awful( and very difficult to put into algarisms so it's excused) and total plate appearnces and innings pitched are not more important than age or potential. The values are useful for this limited reason, I believe baseball needs a hard cap so the Yankees and Red Sox and others aren't allowed to spend too much and make the playing field unfair. IN PB this is good because it helps some of the poorer teams get a chance at some decent players in the FA draft and I will say this they probally are as accurate as they can be. The thing is PB VALUES SHOULD NEVER BE INVOLVED IN JUDGING PLAYERS TALENT OR POTENTIAL. PB is supposed to be fun and if 2 people feel they have a fair deal unless it's something as abusrd as AROD for Mike Bordick trades should NEVER BE REJECTED FOR ANY REASON. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE COMMISH WHO MAKES THESE DECICIONS IS DUMB ENOUGH TO TRADE PRIOR PUJOIS OFF UNMANAGED TEAMS.
