Quantrill is not the issue
Relievers are spare parts except for a few elite ones. You can debate whether Quantrill is worth a FA #1 or A FA #2 or a FA #3... but thats as about all you can say about him.
This deal is about Mora and Escobar.
I find it quite interesting that everyone wants to quote the one year stats of Mora... but they won't talk about that fact that outside of an 80 game stretch last year he has never been any good.
Lets assume that Escobar doesn't improve... last year he was a 5.8 grade / 5.3 clutch starter who pitched 180 innings. Are 5.8 grade starters in such abundant supply that someone would want to trade one for a 32 year old utility player with a .260 career average?
