On the infield I almost always play players rated at the position although I have used non-catchers at catcher in blowouts and when necessary I have used Craig Counsell at 3B and Renterria at 1B.

In CF I usually use someone rated there that is as good as possible. In LF or RF I do almost anything to get offense in. I freely use CF or RF in LF and LF or CF in RF. In fact I make no attempt when drafting to distinguish between LF and RF.
I have on occasion used an infielder that was not rated in the OF in LF or RF when necessary. I am not afraid to do it when needed but I try not to do it too often.
