Mora/Escobar debate--my side of the story
I rejected Mora/Quantrill for Escobar/Munro for these reasons:
1. Mora had GREAT 2003 numbers and will help plenty of PB TRAD teams win championships this season. No one seems to count present stats in these trade discussions even though I citre them as reasons for rejecting or questioning deals all the time?
The guy KILLS LH pitchers and has plus .800 OPS versus RHP and plays 2b, ss, lf competantly and even can help you in CF and 3b!
2. Escobar is just okay in 2003 and he is a pitcher with a history of being very pitcher like.
Yes the Mora side might not pan out in 2004 but my bet is that it will becuase I think there is a good chance Escobar will be a bust.
