I have a RT team (Newtown Norsemen) and a Trad team (Girabaldi). I consider myself moderately active in trading. I end up completing about 3 trades per year in the off season and 3-4 per year during the season. I hate hugh deals & tend to trade one for one, one for two, or two for two. Easier to evaluate. I do not believe in trading for the sake of trading. I only trade for 2 reasons:

1. Make my team better
2. Position myself for the future (a draft pick, someone near the end of their career etc).

When I am in the post season race I am very willing to give up a lot more than is fair to get the player I need (Newtown Norsemen been to the playoffs 2 of 3 years). If I am not in the playoff hunt, all trades must make me better in future years (Olerud for Choi for example).

My pet peeve, making a trade offer & not hearing from the owner for weeks. I contact potential trade partners via email about 50% of the time, before making an offer. I hate getting mega deals proposed (are you listening Mick!!!!!!). I'm a little too slow to be able to evaluate those type of trades.
