While there are many different ways to be successful I think that Gary made the main point for me when he said that the draft is the most fun part of PB. I completely agree and I have no idea why someone would just take what they get. I forget who but one manager said that last year, that they just went with whatever the PB rookie draft list gave them. To each their own but for me the rookie draft is too much fun to stay out of.
Even if you try to build through trades a good draft gives you the chips to deal with.On some teams I keep them and let them develop; in F18 I've packaged them for proven players whose owners thought they were done. Either way, you need to draft young talent.
