It makes for interesting posts and discussions, but even Mike Bravard doesn't know for sure how his program handles the settings. He's guessing based on his posts about this and using anecdotal evidence to decide what is happening.

You'd think he could check the program code but perhaps it isn't that simple.

We'd all like to know, but at least we all have the same chance of getting it right...none.

Meanwhile, though all this discussion is fun to read, it isn't going to resolve the question of what effect various settings will have.
