Excellent, logical, approach to setting up the pen. I will have to review my teams current settings. I have tended to put my ace reliever, especially if low IP (like 50 IP), in the closer role. Then my two best relievers as short men, then the rest as middle relief.
I see inconsistent use of relievers by the robot...sometimes my middle men get overused, sometimes the short men.
I like the idea of spreading out the relievers like your suggestions.
