Something I've been complaining about now for the past 4 yrs at least.........game play itself! Sure this "little upgrade" will help as far as time in sending your away instructions, but I, for one, would like the game play itself to be a little more realistic. I just got done playing 2 series (of the 3 teams I own) and in both series the away manager brought back a starting pitcher with JUST 2 DAYS REST!!!!!
In the 1st league, the starter started game 2 and went 5.1 innings facing 21 batters and then came back in game 5 and went 5.1 innings again facing 25 batters. The outcomes: game 1= 0 R, 5 H, 1 BB, 7 K and a W, game 2= 3 R, 8 H, 2 BB, 8 K, 1 WP and an L.
In the 2nd league, the starter started game 1 and went 5.1 innings facing 20 batters and then came back in game 4 and pitched a complete game facing 35 batters. The outcomes: game 1= 2 R, 4 H, 0 BB, 3K and an L, game 2= 3 R, 5 H, 1 BB, 7 K, 2 HBP and a W.
I put these things in this perspective to show that the 1st league shows what will actually happen if a pitcher comes back in a 2 day rest while the 2nd one is completely bogus. Also in that 2nd league, the starting pitcher for the visitors in the next game hit 2 HRs in 3 ABs which is more then anyone else hit for the complete series playing every game!!!!! Maybe the manager should play THIS pitcher somewhere else beside pitching and he could hit 100 HRs or more at that rate!!!! Bogus game play at it's best!!!!!
All I know is, after putting up with some of the most stupidist "baseball knowledge" situational outcomes that aren't really TRUE (i.e. H&R singles in the OF and runner who was running on pitch only goes 1 base, IF drawn in and grounder to IFer and they go to 1st and let run score {God, I should have left the IF back and get the out and let the run score anyways!!!!}, a player rated for a position gets more errors then a player NOT rated for a position, power hitters trying to "bunt" thier way on when the team needs a HR, etc) have finally taken its toll on me. I doubt very seriously that I will ever field my best team anymore this season because......IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER!!!!!!!! The same people win every yr no matter how good or bad thier teams are.
