Take a look at some of the real time leagues. The stats they accumalated last year are the stats we are now accumalating.
I believe there are 10 realtime leagues. Thus take a player, say Helton. Do a search for Helton in each league, go to that teams page, then click on the 2003 stats for that team. You will see how he did. Look at his best year, his worst year, and combine all 10, then divide by 10 for a average year. This should be close to his actual stats, ± 15%
By doing this, you remove the small sample size, and get a general idea on how your players will perform.
I believe that someday we will have master stats that combines all the leagues together, allowing you see how one of your players is doing in all the leagues combined.
To give you and idea of the accuracy of these stats, I do a preseason prediction in K15. I base this off of each teams actual stats. At the end of the year, I'm inside 10% every year.
By the way, I ready to disregard everything I just said and send Dotel packing, since he's already lost me 3 games in two leagues.
