Madson does look good, did start in the minors, and may get a shot in the majors if Myers doesn't get going. But even if he takes over the spot, if he slips up at all and Myers is pitching well in Triple A, they''ll give Myers another chance. They have more invested in him.

Meanwhile, it may be true that Matsui won't be a star in MLB, but you would get a lot of debate on that. And I don't think you will find a single draft publication taking Madson over him. Not that any of that was my point. I was actually supporting the trade. I was only knocking taking Madson that high. And that's the beauty of drafts isn't it? Everyone has their own opinions.
