Isn't uncertainty part of the fun?

Posted By DaveF

How can benching a player use up his injury time?

Could the Cubs have done that with Mark Prior?

The chance that a key player could be injured randomly is part of the game. It's frustrating, but also what makes it fun.

A question though...

I don't think your player who is injured at the start of the season comes in with any injury time - unless he played a few games before his injury. Someone like Garciaparra will come in with a 0 injury.

It makes "some" sense since he's already sat out but since RT leagues are behind the MLB season, he'll be available sooner than he should be. In RT PB doesn't punish those guys as much as it should it seems to me. Instead, Nomar will be treated like a call-up SS who was never injured but was just in the minors instead of the bigs.
