I like the idea of losing your 1st round pick if you don't have a C at the start of the season - or perhaps 2 days before.

But...

I think it is ok to not draft that 3rd catcher with the intention to trade for one. Give the manager a little time to make a trade. I don't see anything wrong with ending the FA draft short in some position and then trading to fill it.

Just because a guy didn't fill all his positions doesn't necessarily means he's planning on asking for an INN guy from the COMMISH.
