Just to counter
First, I never questioned why he was down to so few players. I agree with you, that how he got down to that number is "up for discussion". I didn't focus on it, because it was so vague.
Second, here are Millar's defensive numbers:
Pos ODR Range Arm FPCT DP PB CSubj
RF 3.8 7 1.5 0.6 - - -
1B 5.2 5.9 - 4 6.3 - -
LF 2.3 2 3 2 - - -
I could be wrong, but I would put him in the outfield position where he had the higher defensive rating and zone rating.
Third, if Lofton was so hurt, how did he appear in four games, and only get two innings in center?
Fourth, I don't know Tim, and said as much. I'm trying to examine what he did. That's all.
Fifth, the game results were greatly affected by the number of errors by his rightfielders.
Sixth, I'm not trying to judge his motives, it just sure looks like he tried to lose those games on purpose.
Look, we've got someone who has admitted to using a pitcher in right field intentionally, during his opening series, when he had other options. If that's not losing on purpose, I'm not sure what is. And hey, it's not the end of the world, it's not like we're talking about the war or anything. I would just like to see everyone making a decent effort to win, and some repercussions for those who don't. And if Tim (and the person who runs Burbank, who I originally brought up) aren't at least asked about this Mike, then really it's ok for everybody to do it. And I don't think anyone wants that.
