KEN, CAN YOU EXPLAIN WHY THE ROBOT DID THE FOLLOWING...
It's the 5th game of an away series for my team. The Robot assigns Foppert to start. Why would it do that if the following conditions apply:
1. I have 5 starters assigned in the SET DEFAULT MANAGER: Foppert is assigned as long reliever. Scott Shields is the only assigned starter that is not tired has not played in 5 games, has his full 22 BA's and his status is READY.
2. I have 2 short relievers, 1 middle reliever, 2 long relievers (Foppert is one of the 2) and 1 closer assigned in the SET DEFAULT MANAGER.
3. All pitchers in the Default Manager have an assignment.
4. Shields was brought up from the farm for this series but like I said I had assigned him as a STARTER and that is how he is listed in the DEFAULT MANAGER SETTINGS.
So what am I missing that would cause the Robot to pick Foppert(assigned as a long reliever) over Shields (assigned as a starter)?
If you look at the CURRENT STATUS BOARD Foppert is listed as a STARTER and Shields is listed as a MIDDLE RELIEVER. This is the only thing I can see that would cause the ROBOT to choose Foppert over Shields to start game 5. But then I don't think that is suppose to happen, is it?
