Garth......why complain about a manager who supposedly tanks when the game does a fairly good job of that by itself. I can give you 2 excellent examples of the game doing just that:
#1) Albert Pujols hitting just 17 hrs last for all of last season (when he actually had 34) and J.Jones hitting 27 on the same team. BTW, Pujols has hit 11 HRs this season on the same team, same league but different home field (one that's supposedly is better for RH HRs)
#2) Top of 1st....Lackey pitching....Beltran (.262) F9, Chavez (.317) single, Jenkens (.279) E5, Stairs (.262) F9, Griffey Jr (.193) HR, Galarraga (234) single, L Castillo (.254) P4. Bottom of 1st....J.Williams pitching.....J.Jones (.249) walks, Mueller (.300) H&R single (J.Jones gets thrown out at 3rd, Mueller gets thrown out at 2nd), Pujols (.347) 6-3. Top of 2nd...... V.Martinez (.186) HBP, Renteria (.319) single, Beltran HR, Chavez walks, Jenkens Ks, Stairs single, Griffey Jr walks, Galarraga RBI single, L Castillo RBI FC 6-4, V.Martinez 6-3. 8-0 in 1st 2 innings so why not put in crappy players if you're gonna lose like that anyways.
