Bob, what you fail to consider is Arizona's prior actions destroyed the competitive balance of this league. The commissioner should be trying to restore the balance not throwing things further askew. The other owners could possibly bring things back in balance by seeking fair value in trades or not dealing with him. All the offers I've ever received from Arizona were in his favor. Why not ? He could always go to St. Pete to fill his needs. Thanks to the MLESS trades he achieves the same result. What if Selig traded the best Expo players to the Yankees for prospects from the depleted farm system ? Owners & fans would lose interest, same here. If I didn't have 15 years history in this league I would let this team go.
