We have always envisioned extra days rest and the present system accomdates them with some difficulties in the playoffs---they are on our list.
Double headers and rainouts are not worth the adminstrative problems associated with status, in my view. We are all about adding wrinkles that broaden the experience but we have to weigh all changes on a cost/benefit basis. Changes cost us programming resources and programming resources are a function of revenue.
