Obviously, the Commish rejected the trade you and Mesquite (I think that's the name of the team) both agreed too and then accepted a trade involving Mesquite and his team (Lyons). If I'm not mistaken when 2 managers accept a trade that the Commish rejects then both managers get a notification of rejection. Have you asked the Commish what happened? I find him forthright and honest if approached with inquisitive intentions.
