What I did, is have him on the roster for a home series. I had to wait for my starter to get bombed...giving up 4 runs early, then I put Madson in. In one game, Lohse hammered for 4 first inning runs, so Madson came on and went 8.2 no hit innings, as the home team rallied to win.
I looked for that type of situation to develop.
