No, You're Mistaken

PB is a "Simulation Game", a computer representation of reality. The reality is AROD played 2 games at SS. How many games would you play him at SS if he had a high rating...2? I doubt it, so where's that reality. A low rating can not only reflect a players ability but may also be being used to discourage playing a player too often defensively at non-primary positions. It's a check and balance in the game to enhance reality. After all, how many errors would AROD have if he played 2 games at SS..2,3,4? This would seem to be closer to reality than giving him a high defenseive rating at SS and him playing 100 to 160 games at SS. To me the game allows you as a manager to take some chances with playing players out of their primary position but in some cases it also makes it so that it may not be worth it. This appears to be one of those examples. Re-programing the game to prevent each player from playing too much at a specific position(s) would seem to be too labor intensive so this approach does something to prevent abuse.
