It has been alluded to periodically by others as to the perception that there is a "built in" penalty to the home team. It has never been proven nor been addressed by Pure Baseball management. I, for one, feel that there is. There is not a way to prove it because the team stats and league stats are not set up to give home and away splits. WHY? Why couldn't this be included in the group of stats offered for review? I'm rather sick of seeing my pitchers give up hit after hit and walk after walk each home game.
