NUMBERS to CONSIDER
I have gone thru the season with a team way underperforming in the hitting department. Looking at what the stats should be and actually are we find the following:
Adam Dunn: (ML) .215 .465 .354 w/27HR
             (PB) .199 .382 .332 w/14HR
Mike Cameron: (ML) .253 .431 .344 w/18HR
             (PB) .191 .331 .249 w/8HR
Paul Konerko: (ML) .234 .399 .305 w/18HR
             (PB) .208 .343 .263 w/6HR
Brad Wilkerson: (ML) .268 .464 .380 w/19HR
             (PB) .224 .340 .319 w/8HR
Aaron Guiel: (ML) .277 .489 .346 w/15HR
             (PB) .235 .409 .295 w/12HR
Sean Casey: (ML) .291 .408 .350 w/14HR
             (PB) .263 .355 .318 w/7HR
Hideki Matsui: (ML) .287 .435 .353 w/16HR
             (PB) .269 .379 .325 w/7HR
There are 7 players with stats in 4 categories. NOT ONE (PB) category really comes close to matching, let alone exceeding, the (ML) totals. I can understand 2 or 3 players having "off" years but all 7 performing below average? And this is in a "hitters park." What gives...any ideas?
