Founder Leagues
I was just wondering what the rest of you thought about expanding the existing founders leagues. I am in A12 (or Aaron 12 as it was started back in 1990). It seems to me with the expansion of real baseball a fantasy game that strives to be as close to realistic as it can would realize that the basis of realism would be in the imitation of real life. And we've seen that in the new Perp Leagues with 24 teams. Now, I know it's easier to attract new managers with the drafting of their own new Perp team, but how long must we wait? Real baseball has 30 teams, that's at least 750 major league baseball players. With only 20 teams, we've allowed ourselves only 500 players. How can a year be simulated or completely enjoyed with over 1/3 of the players not having to play? I have a team in one of the new Perp leagues, and I have to say that I enjoy managing it more because the talent pool is less and I have to actually manage. Just wanted to get that off my chest and see what ya'll thought about it.
