Every baseball fan has seen a guy with a 5 ERA go out and throw a gem (at least every fan I know). That falls under that small sample category. What doesn't make sense is the seasanal variations of 50 %. That this takes place with one individual is acceptable, even understandable. We are not, after all, playing rotiserrie. But to have it happen to half your team is frustrating to the point of causing dissatisfaction withthe game itself. It ruins an entire season of games.

In the past there has been tlak iof implementing s "streak factor" whereby underperorming players would ultimately get hot, hot players underperform to end up with the numbers (and their play)more closely simulating real baseball..

Hmmm.. more closely simulating real baseball - not a bad idea for a sim game.
