I see posts about problems with the sim all the time, but here's how I see it. Basically we're using a very specialized product here. As far as I know there is nothing else like it (the RT leagues anyway). Rotisserie baseball doesn't offer the realism. You have to worry about stupid things like who's closing for the Blue Jays. Scoresheet.com doesn't have a web based game or allow you to manage the games. You have to snail mail your stuff in. Diamond Mind and Whatifsports.com offer a much better sim, but it's not real time (doesn't follow the current MLB season at all).

So if any of you know of any products with the following criteria PLEASE let me know. 1) Teams are perpetual 2) Real-time stats that correspond to the current MLB season.

Until someone like Baseball Prospectus creates some competition for purebaseball.com, not a lot is going to change. Honestly they know we're hooked on our teams and most of us aren't going anywhere so there's no incentive to fix the game. We're stuck with a mid-'90s design. No new leagues since 2000 etc....

So we have to be happy with this until there's somewhere else to go or there's a business team in place here that really wants to grow the site.

It's so much more than a problem of how many errors are first basemen are making.
