Back To Board

Another post of mine to read.

"Before you judge, go back and read ALL his posts. Eternal smugness abounds, with a small nod to the rest to keep plugging away. Daughter smaughter, we all love our kids, how much time a week does he really put in on PB?"

If you read all my posts, I doubt you will find smugness. More like a love for the game, a hope that the league continues, and help to others to understand any hidden workings of the game. This year I spend about 5 hours a week these days. Used to be 10 hours a week. 2 hours of driving for my job, combined with my daughter, makes this hobby much more difficult.

"Then to imply just get your team set and let the robot take over---malarkey."

I've played about 20% of my home games this year. The robot has played the rest. The robot is actually pretty good.

"Read his posts, the condescention is long term rampant and a bane on attracting new owners, which is what this game really needs to focus on."

Me thinks you have me mixed up with someone else. Out of 100's of posts, it sounds like you have taken 3 or 4 of them out of context.

"Just be more welcomming and encourage new blood, instead of some half-assed compliment to owners who are not quite on his level. In short: Ken stop breaking your arm to pat yourself on the back, while trowing back handed compliments."

I've pretty much seen just about everything since I've been here. I don't need to pat myself on the back, it seems I have you to do that. :) Trust me when I say the people that have been here long term aren't playing for pats on the backs, they play because they love baseball. If I ask a question, its because I'm interested in the answers, nothing more.

So answer a couple questions for me.

What do you do to help this game, besides insulting many of the owners here?
What would you recommend?
How long and how many teams do you have? How well do your teams do? Why are they/aren't they doing well?
Do you find any helpful info on these boards, if not, why?
