I was the other person who made the trade in S3 that was being discussed. I dealt Gobble Edmonds Rowland Burrell for Pedro and Percival. I later dealt Maroth Ben Davis and Juan Pierre for Milton Bradley to replace Edmonds bat. The reason for making these trades. 1st I already had Mulder, but, felt I needed a big time number 1 starter to win in the playoffs. Last year I made it to the playoffs and was 1 and done because I didn't have that number 1 stud. I also needed a better setup guy to get me to Gagne. I felt the team was strong enough to make the playoffs without the trade but not strong enought to do anything more than be 1 and done. I later made the second trade when I found that by dealing Edmonds my offence had been effected very nagatively. I think these deals may put me over the top, now that I have Pedro and Mulder as my 1 2 starters, at least that's what i hope.
