I confess that I have occasionally fallen into the trap of doing this but in the most recent case it was only after someone posted that certain players were available and I had been having trouble getting the owner pinned down on what he wanted after I made preliminary offers.

Nevertheless after I said "what do you want from my roster for Burba and/or Leiter," I got two offers and I countered one and it was accepted today.
