Same Thing Happened
I understand the frustration with this. In reading some of the other posts, I think some managers are missing the point that you are being put into a guessing game with picking line-ups and if you guess wrong, you are at a distinct disadvantage!
My team is facing an unmanaged team in the playoffs. First, I don't see his 25-man playoff roster until right before games are turned on. Then I see Pedro Martinez is tired so I know he won't get the start. I notice 3 other RHP who are rested and ready and 1 LHP. The 3 RHP are Roger Clemens, Brian Lawrence and Brett Myers. The away team pitcher in Game 1 comes up as Pedro. I put in a RH line-up figuring (going with the odds...it should be a RHP). Well, I click to start game and guess what...the starting pitcher is the LH Chris Capuano. So now, before the first pitch, I'm at a disadvantage because my RH line-up is playing against a LHP. This just is not fair and I too resent having to GUESS who will be playing. This is not an isolated problem and seems to occur on a regular basis. I don't consider knowing who I will be batting against in any particular game a home-field advantage...I just consider it to be FAIR play and something should be done about it.
