competitive teams

Jim, also note...that if you are too busy to do anything but play the games, How do you expect to improve??
If you don't put in the time to familiarize yourself with the prospects, analyze your roster needs (long and short-term), and be familiar with your main competition's teams, your team will not improve. If your team does not improve, it will not be able to compete with teams with more active owners.
To me, the most fun part of the PB experience is the research, the drafts, the long-term team planning...then seeing if my plans work by validation of the regular season (from year to year).
If a team owner does not spend the time to do these tasks, their team will not challenge for the playoffs.
I don't think alot of PB players think we should give the best players/prospects to the worst teams for competitive balance. We expect the team owners to try to improve their teams by application of their intellect, baseball knowledge, and their efforts to improve their teams. The worst teams get better draft pick slots in the rookie draft, but often don't make the best choices for their teams...too bad in my opinion. It's a free country!
The owners who do the work, are rewarded with better teams...no easy way around it. If you want to improve...do the work!
