Ignore PB, look at past year, and future years. Replacement value is a very important thing to look at. Can this guy you trade away be replaced in the next 2-3 rookie/FA drafts.

Ramirez - Top tier 3B last year, may improve future years(or at least stay the same). Very difficult to replace.

Wilson - Top SS last year, I expect digression in future years. Somewhat difficult to replace.

Kennedy - Ave. 2B last year, hurt for next year. Very easily replaced.

Lilly - Ave pitcher last year, may improve next couple years. Lefty so gets hit with platoon bias. Somewhat difficult to replace(if righty I'd say very difficult to replace).

Dye - Ave OF last year, ave value in the future. Very easily replaced.


PB value only looks at one year, and should only be used to look at the overall rating of a team.
