NOT normal !!
I was Chucks opponent in the tie-breaker.
My guys got credited a 1 game rest if they did not pitch. Chuck's did not.
He put his starters on the farm for that one game, I kept mine active.
In the last series of the season - game 3 - I pitched Sheets and Chuck pitched Pedro. Look at the rosters and see that Sheets has 3 games rest and Pedro 2. Explain that.
...both farm and active players who don't pitch in the tie-breaker should get credited a days rest IMOP.
I think teams NOT in a tie-breaker game got credited a rest day also - right?
Now if a pitcher was used, of course his usage carries over to the playoffs. But a pitcher NOT used or on the farm, should have gotten credited a rest day.
Hopefully guys sent to the farm for that 1 game as Chuck did would not be credited as fully rested with just 1 game on the farm. That may have been Chuck's hope in sending them to the farm - if so, it sure backfired.
