I'm wondering how long rustiness lasts in a game situation. Normally if a pitcher or batter on my roster goes rusty (Robot is especially good at this sort of thing with Pinch hitters and Relievers ;-)). I will deliberately bring them in for one PA or 1 BF and then pull them immediately. The rusty status goes away and I play them as normal the rest of the series. What I was wondering though is if I were to leave them in for extended PT, would their rustiness go away during the game? Or is it really just a method of forcing you to bring back a player for one brief performance before normal usage. Since letting them play rusty for a whole game would be silly when you can remove the rustiness in one AB.
