Don't worry about Regular players versus the players classified as platoon or bench. Everything runs by ABs or IP. So if I get a rookie in the fraft who is not a regular, but her has quality plate appearances, I can use him as a 'regular' for about 1/5th the games. I may chose to put him on the farm until the season is over 1/2 over then bring him in to play every day until he is worn out. I like to do that as giving my team a shot inthe arm down the stretch. Another way to go is to play him against the teams you know you need to beef your lineup against. If I am competitive, but I have 1 other very good team in my division, I may play that rookie exclusively against the better team to make my team more competitive & maybe steal a few games.
