What is a rookie?
The BA list from Ken is I think good for RT but it is a pre-season list, not a post season list - I think...
This lists BA's rookie list if you can access it.

I don't really understand what makes a guy a rookie in PB or MLB, but perhaps the reason Upton isn't on the BA list is they don't consider him a rookie after his 150+ AB in 2005?
PB manuals states that:
"Rookie Draft: This draft is only held in perpetual leagues. It includes any player who has made his first "major league" appearance in the most recent "major league" season."
I suspect the above ONLY applies to TRAD leagues. It seems to me RT lists guys who have yet to appear but are on a roster.
For MLB a rookie is defined differently:
http://www.baseball-almanac.com/awards/aw_roy.shtml
"Eligibility requirements were set forth in 1971 and a rookie was formally defined as a player with less than one-hundred thirty at-bats, a pitcher with less than fifty innings pitched, or anyone with less than forty-five days on any Major League roster."
Now...my question is...
Does anyone have a ranking of rookies based on their actual performance in 2004 and not a pre-season list? In other words, last year's BA preseason list would be different if it were done today but using the same player pool and not the pool used for the 2005 list.
