The last day of the rookie draft usually takes a while to run (3 rounds) and some people may have other things going on in their life that prevent them from finishing cuts on Friday night. Two days for cuts has been the precedent and I think it would be best to give people at least a day and a half.

Having the deadline at either 8 PM Saturday or 8 AM Sunday would probably be appropriate.
