Right but....
Sure its the real stats that matter.... or more to the point its the real stats as adjusted by ballpark factors and league factors.
Certainly the grades are a "quick snapshot" or "estimate." However, those numbers are surely based on a formula that relates back to the real stats. So it stands to reason that if a players grade goes up (or down) when the ballpark adjustments are made the reason is that his ballpark adjusted stats improved (or got worse) relative to the general population.
So I would assume that to say that the grade is meaningless would probably not be telling 100% of the story.
Am I missing something in my assessment?
