prior to the 22 there wasn't even this much usage. Do you see anything resembling pitching to 31 batters and then getting 2 days rest and facing 27 more ? No. When he did pitch to 31 batters on the 22nd, he got 4 days rest before pitching again. His heaviest usage FIVE day usage was 42 BF between 9/27 and 10/1 . Not quite the 58 batters in four days he did in PB.
