The history of PB
I was just curious about the history of Pure Baseball. When were the original leagues formed? How many managers still exist from that pioneer season? They should be commended for sticking it out so long.
I find it interesting that it is possible to have a player on their roster for their entire career. From rookie pick to hall of fame. Talk about having an attachment to a player.
Each league should have a history page. Nothing fancy, just a list of winning managers and a link to their winning roster. Wouldn't it be interesting to see what it took to win 10 years ago? It seems that as soon as the season is over, all is soon forgotten. It's a lot of work to manufacture a championship. A "hall of fame" would be a way to recognize these acomplishments.
And something really should be done about the league names. If the league was originally called Cobb, then it should be called "Cobb league" instead of C2. Especially now with the new leagues forming. 98RT1 and 99Trad2 is so impersonal. Sheesh, just call the league something.
