Poor Barry...he had to have another knee surgery for cartilage tears. He hasn't healed as fast as he did in the past. (Wonder why? No steroids).
I think Barry is one of the greatest to play the game, and steroids didn't give him great bat speed, tremendous visual skills, and just a picture perfect, compact swing. Without steroids, however, he may be coming up against what happens to a 40 year old body playing a kid's game.
I still hope he can catch Aaron...but I have my doubts.

PS...Barry was the first player selected by my D5 Lima Express during D5's original formation draft back in the CSN leagues. He's still pacing my team to many wins. I hope he's back soon.
